The curriculum at SIS aims to develop internationally-minded students who can think critically, knowledgeably and respectfully about the world around them. To do this, SIS follows the mission and vision of the IB Primary Years Programme.

The IB PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It is defined by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subject areas, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning. Educating the Whole Child

At SIS, we are proud of the education we provide for our students. As teachers, we are passionate and knowledgeable about teaching and learning. We strive to provide not only a challenging, inquiry based program (PYP) through which core subjects (English Language Arts, math, science, and social studies) are taught, SIS also offers a dynamic and engaging curriculum for Bahasa Indonesia, art, music, physical education, swimming, and technology. Throughout each week, our students have the opportunity to explore learning through these different subjects while at the same time, making connections between each subject and the Units of Inquiry.
