It has been over a year since we had to stop all the after-school activities and sports due to the pandemic. IISSAC Swimming, Cross Country, and Badminton were put on hold. It was difficult to accept that we would not able to come together with other schools to compete but we had no choice.

We were all hoping that we would all be able to come back to school last August 2020. Unfortunately, the school closure had to continue and are still doing online learning up to this time.

Despite being online, we were still able to hold a good number of student-led activities. The ES StuCo hosted a virtual craft activity for CNY and sent Valentine’s Day Ecards last February 11.

The first-ever SIS Virtual Got Talent was hosted by the HS StuCo on February 19. It was a resounding success as the SIS community was treated to a showcase of the amazing talents of our students.

A Message from Administration Alley: Activities & Athletics - SIS Virtual Got Talent

The NJHS hosted the Brain Out Activity the following week. During the week of March 15, HS StuCo hosted another spirit week while the NHS hosted a virtual movie night.

Upcoming Activities: A Glimpse into the Future

Future activities include the Virtual Teacher Talent Show by the NHS and the Spirit Week by the ES StuCo. Kudos to our student leaders in NHS, NJHS, ES StuCo, MS StuCo, and HS StuCo for being active despite all the challenges of online learning!

This semester we have two virtual ASAs: Arts of Kids by Ms. Pam for Kinder to Grade 2 students and Fun Art by Ibu Dewi for Grade 3 to Grade 6 students. These ASAs meet once a week and will run from March 8 to May 28.

It is hard to believe that we are now in the 4th quarter of this school year. We will soon complete another school year and this one will remain special in so many ways. We are looking forward to the next school year with the hope of being able to be back on campus. We can not wait to see our students back on campus joining different activities and playing the sports they love.
