As the end of the first semester approaches, elementary school students (K to 5) are busy preparing for their music concert which will be held at 1:30 pm on December 6, 2018 in the SIS library. The theme for this year’s music concert is “Best Self, Best Work, Best World”.
This theme also serves as the title of the song that all elementary students will sing at the end of the show. Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are preparing songs related to the concert theme as well as songs related to the PYP learner profile and PYP IB attitudes. The songs chosen provide motivation to learn and reflect upon the attributes of the IB learner profile.
Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade will demonstrate their musical skills by playing instruments such as xylophone, recorder and guitar. They are very confident in their ability to show the skills they have learned in music classes. The elementary students are very enthusiastic and cheerful while participating in exercises held in the music class and I look forward to their performance this semester.
